"BUKK is a loose, free association of organisations that think alike," said Batta, who is also BUKK's chairman. Already at the first talks with members, a number of ideas on how to pair up different branches of the arts to create new and exciting experiences for the public were formed, he added.
Budapest deputy-mayor Csaba Horváth said the association would serve Budapest well, noting that any city without a cultural life could never be successful.
Among the founding members of BUKK are the Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Arts, the Mai Manó House of Hungarian Photographers, the Liszt University of Musical Arts and the Budapest Municipal Council Cultural Commission.
