The 2009 World Press Photo exhibition will go on display at the Millenaris Park in Budapest on Friday and will be open through October 25.
The selection was made from a total of 96,268 images submitted by 5,508 photographers, 20 percent more than last year, said Jurre Janssen, project manager of the Dutch foundation that organised the exhibition.
