Budapest Operetta Theatre Impresses Israeli Audiences

All four performances, between December 11 and 13, received with standing ovations.

 
Director Gábor Miklós Kerényi brought with him to Tel-Aviv choreographer Jenő Lőcsei, conductor László Makláry and the performers Anita Lukács, Marika Oszvald, Szilvi Szendy, Károly Peller, Dávid Szabó, Dániel Vadász, Zsolt Vadász and Karina Chepurnova, a Russian who has performed with the Budapest troupe so many times she is though of as a regular.
 
Some 6,500 people saw the four performances.
 
Gábor Miklós Kerényi, Jenő Lőcsei, Szilvi Szendy and Károly Peller also held a workshop at a school in one of Tel-Aviv's poorest districts.
