English

Registration for the conference will take place on August 6 and the first sessions will start in rooms at the academy and the library on the 7th. A closing reception will take place on Friday the 11th.

The conference?s Hungarian organisers are the Hungaria Latina Hungarian Neo-Latin Association. They have received financial and in-kind support from the Hungarian Academy of Science, the Hungarian Academy of Science?s Literary Studies Institute, the University of Debrecen, the University of Szeged and the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The Hungaria Latina Hungarian Neo-Latin Association was founded in 2001 to further the use of ?New Latin?, that is Latin as spoken among scholars after the Middle Ages.

The association?s headquarters is located in the Hungarian Academy of Science?s Literary Studies Institute at Ménesi út 11-13, in Budapest?s District XI.

The decision for Hungary to host the 13th Congress of the International Association for Neo-Latin Studies was made at the 12th World Conference in Bonn, in 2003.
