Many events will take place at different venues around the capital as part of the Chinese Cultural Festival which started on September 13 and runs until October 25.
The Botanical Gardens in District VIII will host Ginkgo Days on October 6-8. Visitors can get an introduction to Chinese herbs and see a photo exhibition highlighting the country's natural and cultural heritage.
The Chinese Nations Song and Dance Ensemble, which promotes the talents of minorities in China, will perform at the Madách Theatre on October 13 and 14, and at the Katona József Theatre on October 17.
The Urania National Film Theatre will host a Chinese film festival on October 1-7. The films will be shown in the original language with English subtitles and simultaneous Hungarian translation.
The Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) will host a professional conference examining the political, cultural and economic ties between Hungary and China; and the Museum of Agriculture will show an exhibition of Chinese ink painting between October 12 and 25.
