Church Shows Bergman Films, Hosts Talk

The church will show The Seventh Seal, Cries and Whispers and The Touch on Friday, and Through a Glass Darkly, Winter Light and The Silence on Saturday. Fanny and Alexander will be shown on Sunday.

 
One of the highlights of the festival will be a roundtable discussion with Chairman of the Hungarian Motion Picture Foundation Ferenc Grunwalsky, Lutheran pastor László Donáth and film critic György Báron.
 
Ingmar Bergman was the son of a Lutheran pastor, and the search for God is one of the recurring themes in his films. Bergman died at the age of 89 on July 30, 2007.
