Luciano Brogi, the Italian master of commedia dell'arte

Fuser is one of the few artists today who is able to transform the 300-year-old masked tradition of commedia dell'arte and make it speak to audiences today.

The master course will be presented on August 13, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25 and 26 at a stage to be set up on Kálvária tér.

Fuser started her career at the T.A.G. Teatro di Venezia, which has put on renowned commedia dell'arte productions. She also participated in Eugenio Barba's theatre anthropology experiments, investigating comedy forms, Baroque theatre and period music. As an actress at Teatro Stabile del Veneto, Fuser performed the leads in plays by Goldoni and Gozzi. After 1999, she worked on developing an actors' training method focusing on the use of masks and archetypes.
Fuser currently works as an actress, director and master class teacher at venues around the world. In Hungary, Fuser taught a commedia dell'arte course in Zsámbék several years ago.
Fuser has been invited to the City Theatre by director Balázs Simon. The course - open, free of charge, to anyone interested - will also function as a rehearsal for a production of Matte, which will be performed at the Zsámbék Theatre Base in early September.
