The initiative, dubbed ?Let?s Rescue the Castle of Krásna, is headed by Marek Kazimír. It aims to raise 90,000 euros, or the 5 percent self-financing requirement for a 1.9 million euro European Union-supported renovation project.
Collection points will be set up at the local council, the Catholic church and in the centre of Kosice on February 13.
Krásna is a suburb of Kosice.
The 18th century palace has been neglected since 1989.
It is hoped the palace can become the home to a museum, a library, an exhibition space and a club following the renovation.
