Fehérvár Music Days will take place in Székesfehérvár, west of Budapest, on September 6-8.
The festival has grown markedly since it started ten years ago. In 1997, performances by seven bands attracted about 500 people. The following year 4,000 festival-goers came to hear 22 bands. Last year, the festival boasted 119 performances and 15,000 visitors. As the crowds grew, the festival's organisers moved the venue for the event from the local amusement park to the Bregyó Park.
One of the festival's main aims is to give smaller acts a chance to perform. Live music, not computer-generated sounds, is also highlighted.
In addition to Clawfinger, other acts at this year's Fehérvár Music Days will include Ignite, Tankcsapda, Kispál és a Borz, Ossian, Pokolgép, Mystery Gang, Depresszió, Cadaveres and Nevergreen.
Admittance to the festival costs just HUF 2,500.
