Coldplay was slated to play Budapest in November 2005, but the gig was cancelled after front man Chris Martin developed voice trouble.
In September, Coldplay will be promoting their new album Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, to be released on June 17. Produced by Brian Eno, the album was recorded in churches in Spain and South America. It marks a departure from Coldplay's earlier material and includes far less of Martin's signature falsetto.
Coldplay will kick off their new tour with two free concerts in London and New York.
