The exhibition, entitled ?Munkácsy Paintings from America?Selections from the Imre Pákh Collection", will also feature works from the collections of museums in Kaposvár and Szeged, as well as from the Hungarian National Gallery, the Ferenc Móra Museum and the Arad County Museum in Romania. Among the 70 paintings on display are early pieces, such as ?Yawning Apprentice? and sketches for Munkácsy?s famous trilogy: ?Christ Before Pilate?, ?Golgotha? and ?Ecce Homo?.
The Mihály Munkácsy Museum is located at Széchenyi Street 9 in Békéscsaba. The museum is open from 9:00 until 17:00 every day except for Monday.
