Hungary's culture institute in Germany will host a total of 22 events between September 9 and 18, including a reading and performance by the Egyptian writer Nora Amin with Germany's Gesine Danckwart, as well as a debate on the first months of the Obama administration with the participation of the American-Iraqi poet Sinan Antoon, the writer and publisher Michael Krüger, the Indian literary historian and writer Pankaj Mishra and the American essayist Eliot Weinberger.
The Collegium Hungaricum will also host a reading by the Hungarian writer Péter Nádas, who will present his book Bible, written when he was a young man and to be published in German on September 14.
The internationales literaturfestival berlin will feature more than 220 writers from 52 countries. Among the stars of the event will be Nadine Gordimer, Siegfried Lenz and Robert Littell.
