Other attractions are to include MEZZO television's opera competition and Matisse and the Eight, said the organisers, unveiling a draft programme of events. Plans also envisage a concert by rock group U2 in July 2010 to coincide with International Youth Week.
Culture Minister Istvan Hiller warned the six-member organising board, the Artistic Council, its main task was to hurry up drafting a concept for the series of events, since planning and preparations have already fallen behind.
