The troupe, who marked their 55th anniversary with a performance in the Pécs National Theatre on May 3, easily reached the 20-kilogramme maximum weight per passenger because of their costumes.
The troupe?s 24 members and four musicians will arrive in Shanghai in the morning on Friday. On Saturday they will hold a press conference, and on Sunday they will be a part of the Europe Parade, together with more than 20 other countries, at the Shanghai World Expo. On Tuesday, the troupe will perform a two-hour show in Hangzhou, the centre of Zhejiang province, which is a partner of Baranya County, the Mecsek Dance Troupe?s home.
