The aim of the Danube Flow initiative is to offer memorable experiences to people between March 22 and September 30, as well as to bring together and financially support civil organisations involved with the Danube, said Ádám Kobrizsa, head of project coordinator Mindspace Nonprofit Kft.
Participants in the project have invited a competition of ideas for events that bring families and communities to the Danube. Applicants are invited to let their fantasy run wild when making submissions, taking care only to stay focused on the river and its environment.
The deadline for making submissions is March 7, 2012. Four winners will be announced on March 21, just before World Water Day.
The winning projects will share in 1 million forints of support.
Potential applicants can ask questions and get further information at the Impro Creative Filling Station at 4 Ó Street in District VII after 7pm on February 8 and 29.
