Master courses at the workshop will be taught by renowned artists from Hungary, Romania, Germany, France, Scotland, and Japan. While the previous workshop focused on Baroque, Classical, and Romantic music, 20th century music will be the theme of this year?s workshop. The workshop?s programme will also include concerts, some dedicated to the great Hungarian composer Bartók on the 125th anniversary of his birth, as well as Mozart, on the 250th anniversary of his birth. Among the artists performing on the programme are violist Pál Lukács and cellists Ede Banda and Lajos Montag. Workshop participants will also perform.
The workshop will be opened with a concert by flautist István Matuz and pianist Éva Mogyorósi at 16:00 on July 18.
Debrecen?s Conservatory Gallery will also host an exhibition of leather art by Sándor Oláh during the workshop.
