Speaking at the Transylvanian International Film Festival, Attila Gáspárik said a discussion of the failure to take full advantage of co-production opportunities had gone on for years, but no decision had been taken. He suggested that the governments of Romania and Hungary establish a joint fund to support the film industry in light of the extraordinary difficulty in obtaining financing at present.
About 250 films are on the programme of the 11th Transylvanian International Film Festival which winds up on Sunday.
