Participants at the event include among others the directors of the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay and the Pompidou Centre of Paris, the British Museum and the Tate of London, the Prado of Madrid, the Rijksmuseum of Amsterdam, the Hermitage of St Petersburg and the Kunsthistorisches Museum of Vienna.
The conferees will discuss the state financing of national museums, legal aspects of loaning artworks and exploring further possibilities in promoting these institutions online, Zoltan Levay, a spokesman of the Budapest Fine Arts Museum, host of the event, reported.
