In addition to dance performances, the festival, which is organised by the National Dance Theatre, the Bartók Theatre and House of Arts and the Association of Alternative and Independent Theatres, will feature a photo exhibition, concerts and film screenings. Also on the programme are solo performances from Slovakia and the Czech Republic, as well as Hungary, artistic project leader at the Bartók Theatre István Énekes said.
There are 13 performances on the festival programme, with three shows every evening on the main stage and one performance in the chamber theatre each afternoon, said Csaba Szögi, who is artistic director of the Bartók Theatre and deputy chairman of the Association of Alternative and Independent Theatres.
Additionally, a seminar for dance critics will be held during the festival with presentations by Eszter Gál and Tamás Jászay.
The recipient of the main ?Mono Award? will be selected by audience members who buy a pass to see at least six performances. Last year, the award went to Finita la Commedia, which will perform on the first evening of this year?s festival.
Among the performers at the festival will be Péter Bálint, Yvette Bozsik, Éva Duda, the Finita la Commedia group, Krisztián Gergye, Gábor Katona, Milan Kozánek, Zuzana Kozánková, Alexandra Kozmér, Attila Kun, István Pálosi, Marta Poláková, Anna Réti and Dániel Szász.
