Among the highlights of the exhibition is a Latin Old Testament from 1478.
The first translation of both the Old and New Testaments into Hungarian was made by the Calvinist pastor Gáspár Károli and published in 1590. About 800 copies off the Károli Bible were made, of which 54 are known to survive. Almost half of these are still in Hungary.
The first Roman Catholic Bible in Hungarian was the work of the Jesuit György Káldi and published in 1626.
