 Péter Esterházy

The prize, established in 1985 and named after the author Manes Sperber, recognises achievements in German-language literature. Translations of Esterházy's works in German enjoy great popularity in German-speaking countries.

 
The Hungarian writer György Konrád was awarded the Sperber Prize in 1990.
