The conference, organised by the Concorde Film Foundation and consultancy Ernst and Young, showed investors the decision-making process involved with tax incentives linked to funding for Hungarian film productions. Hungary's filmmaking infrastructure can compete on a global scale thanks to investments such as the Korda Film Studios in Etyek, the organisers said.
The director Gábor Herendi and producer Howard Ellis spoke about the artistic and the financing side of films at the conference.
Hungary's tax incentives for investors who support film productions have drawn some HUF 19.4 billion to the industry since they were introduced in 2003.
