(MTI) - Addressing the ceremony executive president of the pan-European heritage conservation NGO, Europa Nostra, Andreas H. Schuler praised the work of the Hungarian architects and those who executed the renovation.
The renovation of the Palace, which accommodates a historic ornate marble coffee house that once provided a virtual home for many of Budapest's most celebrated poets, was completed last May. The palace was originally built in an eclectic style relying on the Italian renaissance in 1892-1894.
The palace, a landmark building in downtown Budapest, has been reconstructed by the Italian Boscolo group.
