(MTI) - The agreement on hosting the event was signed by Mayor Zsolt Pava and ECP Secretary-General Karl-Erik Norrman on Monday.
Pecs, a European Capital of Culture (ECC) this year, has been selected to host the ECP session, expectedly in October, ahead of Tbilisi, Ferrara and Maastricht.
Norrman appreciated the efforts of Pecs, adding that the city would remain on the cultural map of Europe even after the end of ECC events this year.
The European Union decided to set up the ECP in 2001. It now has around 200 members, including artists, writers, thinkers and cultural managers.
