Each year the European Parliament buys works of art from different member states. This year, it is buying works from Hungarian, Latvian and Lithuanian artists.
The works, by Csaba Balogh, Ákos Bánki, András Braun, József Burkus, Károly Elekes, Gyöngyi Gallusz, Györgyi Lantos, Péter Szarka and Attila Szűcs, were chosen by a professional selection committee set up by the European Parliament. They were purchased for more than EUR 70,000.
