One of the exhibitions is of photographs of this year's Pro Architectura prize. The 22-member jury for this year's Pro Architectura prize, which acknowledges the best work by professionals in the field, has gone to János Jánosi for a residential building in Budapest's Lovag Street; to Ernő Kálmán for the John Calvin Reformed Retirement Home, also in Budapest; to László Mikó and Tibor Szántó for the Study and Information Centre in Szeged; to Péter Sugár and his planners László Benczúr jr., Attila Batári and László Kara for the Chain Bridge 19 Design Hotel along the Danube in the capital; and to Judit Halmágyi Z. and Zoltán Király for the renovated and expanded Deák Palace in Budapest.

An exhibition of Hungarian and foreign architects shows submissions in a contest to find the best family home design in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.

Another exhibition that includes works by foreign architects is Brick 08. It shows the winners of a contest organised by Austrian brick maker Wienerberger, among them Hungarian submissions that won in 2004 and 2006.

A selection of children's drawings in a contest with the theme "Child be the architect of a better future" pays tribute to Giancarlo Ius, the former deputy chairman of the International Union of Architects (UIA), who was to be elected chairman of the body at its 23rd congress on July 5, but died unexpectedly on the morning of the same day. The contest's theme is the title of a song to which Ius wrote the lyrics.
