Hungarian cuisine was on show on Tuesday at Choice Eats, a culinary event that showcases 50 restaurants selected by The Village Voice. András Hernádi, executive chef at the Hungarian consulate in New York, made Gerbeaud cake, Somlói sponge cake with chocolate mousse, pogácsa and Sacher torte.

Later in the month, Vicky Shick and Hedvig Fekete will bring Glimpse, a dance piece that delivers a delicate portrait of aging, life situations and women's lives, to Manhattan's Danspace Project.

Two new Hungarian films will have their American premieres as part of a showcase for films from Central and Eastern Europe: Kornél Mundruczó's Delta will be shown on April 17 and Anna Faur's Girls on April 18.
