The exhibition will provide an overview of mostly French paintings of Impressionism and Symbolism from the last decade of the 19th century and works of the first avant-garde movements, organisers told MTI.
Visitors will see works by Monet, Sisley, Renoir, Cezanne, Degas, Van Gogh, Pissarro, Gauguin and Matisse, as well as of Pablo Picasso.
The show will run parallel until mid February with the large-scale "Botticelli to Titian - Two Centuries of Italian Masterpieces" exhibition on Italian Renaissance, which 150,000 visitors have seen so far, Museum Director Laszlo Baan said.
