The first Budapest Grand Musical Instrument Selection will coincide with the Grand Sport Selection Days. The event?s special guests will be Erika Miklósa, an opera singer for more than two decades who also runs 40K a week and plans to participate in this year?s New York Marathon.
Some of Hungary?s best athletes are also musicians. The canoeists Tamás Wichmann and Attila Tamás play the guitar, and Olympic silver medallist kayaker Erzsébet Viski is a flautist.
Erika Géczi, a kayaker who won a silver medal in Seoul, has been a vocalist for the groups Bojtorján and Kormorán, and she currently sings with Örökség.
The Musical Instrument Selection Days will debut in Dunaújváros on May 18-19, before coming to Budapest.
