Hungarian director József Pacskovszky's The Days of Desire will premiere at the festival. The black and white family drama, which stars French actress Catherine Wilkening, alongside the Hungarians Orsolya Schefcsik, László Zsolt and Ákos Orosz, will compete for the main Golden Pyramid prize.
The screening of the film will be attended by Pacskovszky and producer Jenő Hábermann of Filmart.
Director Dezső Zsigmond's film Witches Circle, set amidst the Csángó people in Transylvania, will compete in the digital features category.
Krisztina Goda's thriller Chameleon, Gergely Fonyó's musical Made in Hungária and Áron Mátyássy's Lost Times will be shown outside of the competition.
The honorary president of the festival is Omar Sharif.
