Henkel, which makes such well-known household brands as Persil, has organised the competition for the sixth year in a row. This year, Henkel invited submissions of industrial designs.

The five finalists are Rajmund Domán, for his KotyoGO coffee maker; Erdélyi Tamás, for his paper knife; Emil Szilárd Hajnal, for her digital sand clock; Katalin Holányi, for her Espresso maker; and Kálmán Nyilas, for his mobile wind generator. The designers were picked from 31 applicants.

The works of the five Hungarian finalists will now be submitted to an international jury in Vienna which will pick the winner in November.

Works of the Hungarian finalists may be seen on Henkel's homepage in Hungary at www.henkel.hu by clicking on "Henkel Art Award".
