Art historian Reuben Fowkes, chief organiser of the exhibition, told MTI that the artists had been selected from among a wide range of people who lived or used to live in Budapest in the past twenty years.
"We want to provide an overview of the works of artists who have associations with Hungary," Fowkes said. He added that the display would cover an array of genres from paintings through multi-media displays to video recordings.
Among the artists are British, Brazilian, Japanese, Scottish and Moldovan makers.
