Romvári has painted a fairytale world on huge cross sections of trees. Looking at the rings in the wood and the forms painted, burned and lacquered onto them invites reflections of the cycle of life, says the artist. The thought is carried further with "soul boxes" surrounding the cross sections in which the shadows of forest creatures can be seen.
Romvári graduated from the class of Gábor Nagy at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in 2001.
