Four Hungarians Selected as EUYO Members

The four regular members from Hungary are Péter Kett (trumpet), Bence Major (percussion), Hajnalka Standi (violin) and Bálint Döme Mohai (bassoon).
 
Thirteen more Hungarians made the orchestra?s reserve list. They are Gergely Csikota (trumpet), Szabolcs Varga (trumpet), Tamás Farkas (horn), Noémi Huszár (violin), Anna Jámbor (violin), Zita Yvonne Molnár (violin), Eszter Nauratyill (violin), Kata Pintér (oboe), Éva Csengele Demeter (violin), Ádám Szabó (cello), András Péter Kárász (cello), Péter Fodor (percussion) and Ádám Maros (percussion).
 
The EUYO comprises 140 members between the ages of 14 and 24. They are selected each year from some 4,000 applicants.
 
Since 2003, 29 Hungarians have been regular members of the orchestra and 53 have been on the reserve list.
 
Auditions are held for all chairs in the EUYO each year.
 
The EUYO will start its 2012-2013 season tour in Bolzano in August.
 
The EUYO was established in the UK in 1978. Over the years, the orchestra has worked with such famous conductors as Leonard Bernstein, Daniel Barenboim, James Conlon, Carlo, Herbert von Karajan, Zubin Mehta and Mstislav Rostropovich.
