The concert, featuring the pianists Andrienne Krausz, Giovanni Bellucci and Clément Mao-Takacs, as well as the singer Klára Csordás, was attended by Institut Francais director Xavier Darcos.

The concert wound up a series of events marking the anniversary organised under the patronage of French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

The highlight of the anniversary celebrations was a performance of Liszt?s Christus oratorio by the Hungarian Radio Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Zoltán Peskó at the Église Saint-Louis des Invalides on October 23.

Another remarkable event was a concert of Liszt works performed by the Ensemble Parisien and the pianist Francois-René Duchable in a park in Paris in June. The concert was accompanied by a light and fireworks display.

Jean-Yves Clément, who organised the Liszt Year celebrations in France, was presented the Pro Cultura Hungaria award by National Resources Minister Miklós Réthelyi at a ceremony in Budapest?s Palace of Arts on Saturday.
