The book, whose title character is Kostolányi's own counter-ego, was translated by Sophie Kepes and published by Cambourakis.
French readers were first exposed to Kornél Esti in a series of excerpts published by Aliéna in 1985. The entire book, also translated by Kepes, was published by Virág Ibolya in 1999. Kepes has made several changes to the translation of the book most recently published.
Esti does not simply want to change the world, he wants to do it in his own radical and humorous way, said Libération critic Mathieu Lindon.
