I'm From Barcelona - named after a line from the Catalan waiter Manuel in the BBC comedy series Fawlty Towers - was formed on a whim by Emanuel Lundgren in 2005. Lundgren had only intended to record a few demos and give a short concert, but the project attracted the attention of music bloggers and soon the group had a contract with EMI. Last year, the band released its second album.
The six-member Cla, a synthesizer-acoustic act lifted by the lovely voice of Manuela Azevedo, has been one of Portugals's most popular bands since it was formed in 1992.
