Keveházi said he thought it important that after a recent collaboration project with Boris Eifman, the ensemble should work with other important contemporary choreographers. He said he planned to invite Nacho Duato and continue Jiri Kilian's series Six Dances.

Keveházi said the Hungarian National Ballet maintained close cooperation with the ballet ensemble of the Bratislava National Theatre and Opera and he recently met chief director of Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre Anatoly Iksanov in Budapest to discuss similar cooperation with their ballet ensemble.

He said another important ambition of his is that the ensemble should help develop a talented choreographer who can continue the work of László Seregi.

Marianna Venekei, after several etudes and short pieces, is planning a full-length performance, Keveházi added, declining to reveal details.

The Hungarian National Ballet has been invited to Biarritz in September 2010 and talks are underway on guest performances in Japan and Korea. Two classics will be updated and presented in the next season: the comedy La Fille mal gardée and the dramatic piece The Fountain of Bakhchisaray. Keveházi said the ensemble has enough stamina to fulfil the plans and he wants to invite some of the best masters to help the dancers work and develop.
