German Music Festival to Finish in Hungary

Michelangelo's Creation in the Sistine Chapel

The Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra and Chorus will perform Haydn's Creation in Budapest on September 1 and in Győr on September 2.

 
The Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival has featured some 140 concerts at 40 venues - among them concert halls, castles and factories - over seven weeks from July 14 to September 2. Hungarian musicians, including up-and-coming talents as well as some of the country's most renowned performers, have showcased music from Gypsy to Klezmer at the festival.
 
Hadyn's Creation, performed by the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra and Chorus, directed by Christopher Hogwood, will be performed in the Grand Hall of the Music Academy in Budapest at 19:30 on September 1 and in the Basilica of Győr at 19:30 on September 2. Soloists are Simona Saturová (Gabriel), Yun Jung Choi (Eve), Steve Davislim (Uriel), Holger Falk (Adam) and York Felix Speer (Raphael).
