The series features works made in the 1940s and 50s, Mexico?s ?Época de Orco?. It is opening with a screening of work by the director Emilió Fernández (1904-1986) and the cinematographer Gabriel Figueroa (1907-1997) on Tuesday.
Screenings of five films are on the programme.
The series is supported by the Mexican Foreign Ministry, the National Association of Hungarian Journalists (MÚOSZ), broadcaster Televisa and Fundación Televisa, in addition to the embassy and MPRSZ.
