The week will start on Friday with a concert by the folk group Harangláb, to be followed by a performance of Swedish writer Lars Norén's drama Night is the Mother of the Day in Hungarian with Swedish subtitles, featuring Péter Dóczy, Ágnes Csere, Tamás Mészáros and Attila Pomlényi.
With the support of Hungary's Film Union, director Róbert Alföldi's film Tranquillity and the Dárday-Szalai director couple's film The Emigrant, about Hungarian writer Sándor Márai's last years, will be shown. Writer Attila Bartis has been invited for a discussion of his novel Tranquillity, which was adapted for film by Alföldi. The novel will be published in Swedish this autumn. A recently published Swedish translation of selected poems by Sándor Weöres will be presented at the city library. The event will be attended by the translator Ove Berglund.

A gallery in central Göteborg will present works by Hungarian artists living in Sweden. The gallery will also host a public talk with two representatives of the Hungarian Writers' Association: László L. Simon and Márton Kalász.
The choir of a Göteborg secondary school will perform works by Bartók and Kodály, with flute, piano and cello accompaniment. The second part of the concert will feature Hungarian rock and pop songs.
