Győr Science Centre to Open March 14

The mission of Mobilis is to get young people to like the sciences and popularise technical lines of work, said director of the centre?s operator Tamás Péter Szilasi.
 
The 2,700 square metre centre was designed by the Ybl Prize-winning architect Iván Nagy, who said its friendly atmosphere and neutrality put the exhibition equipment in the spotlight.
 
The local council of Győr won nearly 1.7 billion forints in European Union support for the project under the Social Infrastructure Operative Programme. It covered 200 million forints of the cost from its own resources.
 
Győr, home to the Hungarian unit of German carmaker Audi, is one of the country?s automotive industry hubs.
