?All I can say is that it will be an energetic rock and roll album. Let?s say old-school Tankcsapda: pure rock and roll. We could not and did not want to write an album like ?The Best Poison? or ?Man Proposes??.We feel this will be an album free of ballads and pop songs. Of course the songs are full of melodies, lots of tuneful refrains that are easy to sing, but the tempo has received the strongest emphasis,? according to Tankcsapda front man Laci Lukács.
The album is called ?Everyone is Waiting for Something? and will be sold in a specially-designed black box together with a concert DVD. Already, a video for one of the singles off the album, ?Nothing Needed?, is being shot, directed by Péter Herz.
Tankcsapda first played tracks of the new album at a concert in Kazincbarcika, an industrial city in northeast Hungary, on March 31, the start of its spring tour. The highlight of the tour will be a concert on May 27 at Budapest?s Kisstadion, where the band will play before its largest audience ever.
Tickets are on sale at ticket offices and through the Ticketpro network. They are also available online at www.ticketpro.hu. Prices range between HUF 3,900 and 5,900.
