The mega studio built on 40,000 square metres in Rakospalota gives permanent jobs to 100 people, Michael Moore, the president of Raleigh Studios, told reporters introducing the complex.
Budapest has been selected for the studio complex because of the excellent sites and surroundings for scenes, trained filmmaking workforce and tax incentives offered for foreign productions, he said.
The complex offers a full range of services from preproduction to post production for movies, TV-series and commercials.
The 61-million-euro studio project has been constructed in partnership with Hungarian investor Origo Film Group. The Hungarian state has contributed 642,000 euros to the project.
