The exhibition, called Second Generation, presents works by artists such as Ayana Friedman, Dvora Moraq, Sagit Aloni and Nechama Golan.
"The children of survivors, second generation Jews, must call attention to the past.. we need to make sure it never happens again," Aliza Bin-Nun, Israel's ambassador to Hungary, said at the opening ceremony.
Exhibition director Miriam Ben-David noted that the event was part of the "Dialogue for Tolerance" programme and said that it was important to send a message to different groups of society through the medium of art.
