(MTI) - The 100 Year-Old Buildings of Budapest project will be held on April 9 and 10, the latter being the 100th day of the year, OSA said on Wednesday.
Among the buildings chosen will be the Goldberger House, the headquarters of OSA in Budapest's Arany Janos Street. Another one, a school in Varosmajor Street, was designed by eminent architect Karoly Kos in Art Nouveau style.
OSA said the project aims to add a new event to the Budapest calendar: the annual public celebration of buildings that reach the age of 100 in that year. These centenary events will also give the residents of the buildings the opportunity to get to know each other and the often hidden treasures of their houses, OSA said.
The majority of selected buildings are residential but the list includes schools, clinics, water towers, museums and more. Further information about the project is available at www.budapest100.hu.
