Renovation of the loggia decorating the baroque palazzo on Rome's Via Giulia was the last finishing touch to refurbishing the whole building, which started in 2004, Istvan Hiller told MTI on the phone. A total of 400 million forints (EUR 1.4m) was spent on the reconstruction project, the minister added. Palazzo Falconieri was built in the 1640s by Francesco Borromini. The Hungarian state bought the building in 1927, and it has served as the institute of Hungarian culture ever since.
