Lángh left Hungary to spend a year in Paris with her children in 1977 but did not return to Hungary for another two decades. Grassroots Paris is an account of the first seven years abroad, a period during which Lángh was financially insecure, but found a spirit of freedom nonetheless. The book is bursting with communes, protestors from 1968, artists, yoga, strikes, demonstrations and much more.
