The exhibition, presenting the history of Hungarian-Catalonian dynasties, will be on show at the Museum of the History of Catalonia from May 7 to August 2. After that, it will be taken to the National Museum of Hungary from September 4 to November 29.
Focusing on four queens and queen consorts Constance of Aragon, Violant of Hungary, Beatrix of Naples and Mary of Austria, the exhibition uses multimedia to present links between royal dynasties of Hungary and Catalonia, as well as the societies and cultures of the two countries from the Arpad Dynasty to the Middle Ages.
After opening the exhibition in Barcelona, Istvan Hiller will grant the Pro Cultura Hungarica award to Ricardo Izquierdo Grima and Adam Kovacsics for promoting Hungarian culture in Spain.
