The two-week long event, partly organised by a Hungarian agency, offered audiences a plethora of over 800 choirs, among them 35 Hungarian ones.
Prizes awarded in 28 categories went to the Bela Bartok Men's Choir of Pecs (S Hungary), the Kek Madar (Blue Bird) Children's Choir, the Magnificat Children's Choir, the Ars Nova ensemble of Kecskemet (C Hungary), among others. Altogether, Hungary received eight gold, ten silver and three bronze medals at the event.
